Integrated midsole/outsole construction based on four
important principles:
• maximum shock absorbency
• optimum comfort
• extreme lightness
• maximum performance
The suspension system provides stability while allowing
for protection, cushioning and traction. The midsole is
the layer between the outsole and the upper and is most
important for stability and cushioning in running shoes.
The outsole component contains the visible tread and
often in the case of mountain boots a hidden interior

formulated for maximum performance for each intended sport.
For performance in any mountain sport, FriXion
®
will give you
maximum stick and a noticeable performance advantage.
This innovative system uses a multi-directional upper hinge
that allows the ankle to take advantage of its natural
characteristics. The total freedom of movement of the ankle
allows using the boots l ex while rocking and transforming it
into pure power during the pushing phase. The upper l exes
following the movement of the foot, supporting it laterally on
steep and rough terrain and ensuring a stable hold. This allows
for a comfortable i t and even l ex after several hours of use.

IMPACT

A technical randing system developed to deliver power
to the sole and to maintain the down-turned shape of
the shoe. The randing system starts under the toes
and wraps around the whole foot. This maintains the
down-turned aggressive proi le of the shoe which
allows for better performance and power transmission
for the life of the shoe.

PLATFORM
SYSTEM™
Our IBS soles are designed to reduce up to 20% of the
impact forces acting on the feet, legs and back with each
step while walking on hard ground. Due to the slanted and
opposing angles of the lugs shown in example A, the impact
forces are reduced as shown in examples B and C. The
opposing slanted lugs actually deform upon impact to absorb
20% of the shock imposed upon the feet, knees, hips and back.
In addition to decreasing the shock force upon the body
the inclined position of the tread pattern also offers a
superior grip on very steep terrain. The Impact Brake
System™ soles increase traction by 20% due to the
sculpted heel brake, offset lugs and the synergy with the
asymmetric axis of the foot as seen in example D. This
sole has been developed in collaboration with Vibram
®
