Retired in mid-2000, he continues to be aconsultant, but is now able to devote much more of his time and energy to aviationresearch and writing.He is married with three grown-up children and lives in Dorset, England.Chris Thomas worked for more than 30 years as a civilian Air Traffic Controller (atManchester, Northern Radar, Heathrow, West Drayton and Swanwick). Retirement hasgiven him the time to collaborate again with Christopher Shores in assembling thiswork - a long held ambition. He is the son of a 2nd TAP pilot, and is married with twoadult children and a grandson (who already, at 20 months, shows a promising interestin aviation!).
